Frankie has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years and teaching for 11.  With training in the Satyananda (Bihar School of Yoga) tradition, which places particular emphasis on developing awareness and self-acceptance, using posture work, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation practices.  Having also completed specialist training with Birthlight and the British Wheel of Yoga to teach yoga to pregnant women and to mums and babies.  It offers us simple, profound and systematic practices which can nurture, heal and transform us and so help us to meet the demands of pregnancy, birth and mothering with an open heart.  We are the best yoga students at this time - and our babies are our greatest teachers!

    Pregnancy Yoga
Helps you to stay strong and fit during pregnancy, and to prepare for birth and the transition to motherhood.  Pregnancy Yoga can help to prevent and alleviate common problems such as back pain, indigestion, and restricted breathing.  It also allows the body to open gently, helping to release tension and fear in preparation for birth. Yoga helps us to “tune in”, and so to be more in touch both with ourselves and our babies. All sessions include yoga postures, breath work, and deep relaxation.

    Mum-Baby Yoga
Postnatal yoga helps mums to recover from pregnancy and birth, and is a chance to form a strong bond both with baby and meet other new mums. We work to rediscover good posture, strengthen pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, and to let go of areas of tension such as shoulders, neck and upper back. Babies’ development is supported with suitable yoga poses, songs and rhythmic movement. Baby yoga helps relieve common ailments such as colic, wind, and constipation.  It also helps develop muscle tone and coordination. All classes also include relaxation techniques to help babies settle, and promote mums’ recovery.  Sessions are relaxed and friendly and include time for talking.
