Bluestone National Park Resort

I have just come back from a weekend at Bluestone with my husband and 2 year old son. We stayed in a Ramsey Lodge which was very clean and had everything we needed and it was very nice inside. I was very impressed with the high quality amenities in the lodge, like the T.V, DVD player, shower, microwave, under floor heating in the bathroom, heated towel rack. It was very clean and comfortable. There is Wi-Fi in the village and if you bring an ethernet cable you can hook up to the internet in the lodge as well.

My son absolutely loved the blue lagoon waterpark, although many of the facilities were aimed at a slightly older age group, but what he didn’t enjoy my husband did! We also had passes for the adventure centre which was well worth it as there were many activities for my son. The staff in guest services and the cafe were very friendly and helpful. We also took park in a Toddler Sensory session which was good fun.

We hired a golf buggy as the site is quite spread out and this is something I would definitely recommend and my son thoroughly enjoyed whizzing round in this and did make things easier when we had to get back to the lodge after he’d worn himself out in the blue lagoon!

Dinner in Careg Las is a great experience but it doesn’t open until 6:30pm which makes it a little difficult to take young children with you, but the on site baby sitting service is fantastic with great staff which took the stress out of leaving our son with a stranger and made the meal even more enjoyable.  We ate in the on site pub which was reasonably priced with good food.

I took advantage of visiting the spa, which had good facilities, reasonably priced treatments and very friendly staff.  The only downside to the spa was when I was trying to relax during the treatment I was able to hear everything that was going on outside as the room wasn’t sound proofed in anyway!

Overall Bluestone is a great family destination in a fantastic location and offers good value for money.

I would defiantly return to Bluestone.
