Plain Fruit Jelly

This is an easy and most simple recipe to prepare Plain Jelly. This is a neat Dessert and the kids love it once in a while for a change. The recipe uses agar-agar powder a vegetarian alternative to gelatine.

Ingredients Plain Fruit Jelly
  • 500-750ml sweet fruit juice e.g. pineapple and mango
  • 2 heaped tsp agar agar powder (A vegetarian alternative to gelatine)
  • Soya cream

Method: How to make Plain Fruit Jelly
  1. Heat fruit juice until boiling. Add agar agar and allow to cook for 2-3 mins. 
  2. Pour into a jelly mould and allow to set in the fridge overnight. 
  3. Serve with soya cream.
