My 6 year old son has just caught the chickenpox and my 16 month old daughter has also been in contact with other kids who have had the virus.....so its only a matter of time before she breaks out too! The reason for my post is to prepare for the spots.....you cant expect a 16 month old to not scratch so how do i go about protecting her little perfect body from infection/scarring? Any advice to prepare would be great!.....thanks....xxx

Lots & lots of camomile lotion! my daughter was about the same age when she caught chickenpox from her older brother. Luckily she hasn't got any scars. Good luck!

I had the same problem! I used tube-grip bandages on his hands and feet as hos scratching was very bad!
Keeping the infected area cool also helped.
