Sorry it’s been a while, but just means that I have lots more to talk about! It’s been quite a busy couple of weeks, with work and rushing around after the boys, not to mention going for my 20 week scan which was very exciting!
Let’s start with the scan. Damian persuaded me that we should find out what sex the baby was. So I worked myself up quite a bit about it and got myself quite excited. Yet when it came to it the little rascal’s legs were crossed!! Which makes me wonder if it’s a little boy – awkward like his father!!? But we shall just have to wait and see. Still no kick, which worries/annoys me a bit as I would like some kind of recognition to why I feel so awful in the mornings (and sometimes throughout the day). When did people feel their first kicks? Was it quite into the pregnancy?
I must say I’m feeling a lot better than I was a few weeks ago. Although I’m still in bed by 10 pm every night I am feeling a lot more alive than I was. I am also not feeling so sick every time I wake up in the morning – which I must say is a major relief!! I was always told when it came to morning sickness ginger biscuits were the best remedy, can anyone recommend anything else? Or what story’s you got told when you were pregnant (be them true or false)? I have also been craving lots of cheese at them moment, and things like bacon sandwiches, and lots of sweets!! Being pregnant has lots of benefits, but my favorite factor of being pregnant is being able to eat what I want, when I want and not having anyone question me about it. I really want to start having weird cravings though, you hear about women craving things like charcoal . Although I would hate to eat it, wouldn’t it be funny to crave something like that. Anyone had any weird cravings they would like to share? I’d love to hear about them!
My bump is now a proper baby bump – and I love it! Looking at me now I think you’d know I was pregnant. I have listed a benefit of being pregnant but now its time for a negative – clothes!! First of all I hate that I can’t fit into any of my old clothes now, especially when you have a really nice event to attend, and you have the perfect dress in mind – then you remember that your pregnant and have double the belly that you did! I’ve found maternity clothes are still far to big , they just fall off me, which I will take as a compliment but it is still very annoying! Where did everyone get their maternity clothes from? Any good recommendations?
Finally haven’t talked about my bundle of joy yet. Jack has been a good boy recently, and with everyday that goes by he gets a bit more excited about being a big brother. He even kisses by belly every night before he goes to bed. Which is very cute, and when I told the girls in the office they all went ‘awwww’, but when he slobbers all over my belly that’s a different matter and not so cute. He has also taken to sharing his dummy and poking it in my belly button – I do ensure that the dummy is a clean before hand! But I think that is a good sign, and makes me think he is going to be a fantastic big bro. I hope so anyway!
Thank you for reading everyone and I’ll check in with you again next week. Please do comment I’d love to hear from you all.
Love Vic xxxx
