Good question, I have had the same problem. I let my little one choose things at the supermarket to try. Have to say some times it worked and sometime it did not!
Good luck

Adding fruit to his milk and making smoothies?
Getting him more involved as Floss suggested by helping you choose meals, buy the ingredients and help make them?
Talking about food and what things he likes/doesn't like away from meal times, maybe looking at a book like The Hungry Caterpillar?

Good luck

Hi Tracy,

Please do not worry, your 4yr old is just showing some control and it is wise not to 'push' or force the issue. He will eat what and when he needs and they may not be when we want them to! I run ToddlerCalm workshops and we have an eating session, you are welcome to contact me I may be able to give you some more info that may help you move this forward, too much to post here. email me [email protected]

Interesting subject... I did the same as Floss. Just let your little one choose food from the supermarket. You will be surprised by the results! And don't jive up after the first attempt!

Good luck xx

Have you tried introducing finger food? just let your little one play with it even if he/she does not eat anything. Its not going to happen over night!
