Whatever the weather in January and whatever their ages, discover loads of fantastic family friendly attractions just round the corner from you and all over the UK on our Local Activities Calendar. It’s easy and quick to find the right activity and many of the activities we list are FREE too, like these:-

Chester Zoo: Chester. Visit the tropics this winter and feel the warmth! The animal houses Tropical Realm; Islands in Danger and Realm of the Red Ape are just a few of the indoor spaces you can escape to when it’s cold. Discover over 8000 wonderful animals and 400 different species including some of the most endangered in the world! From the magnificent elephants and rhinos to the delicate butterflies, there is a different animal to see around every corner of this amazing 110 acres of award winning gardens.

Cotswold Farm Park: Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester, Stroud, Swindon. As the home of Rare Breeds Conservation, visitors can meet over 50 flocks and herds of farm animals, including Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and Highland Cattle. The Touch Barn and Demonstration Barn can be enjoyed all year round, as they are under cover and protected from the elements. With an adventure playground, farm safari, Cotswold Lion maze, tractor school, sand pit and jumping pillows, there is lots of entertainment for children of all ages.

Stagedoor Drama Classes: Milton Keynes. Lively and imaginative drama classes held on a Saturday morning during term time for 4-12 year olds.
First Stage 4-6 year olds 9.30am-10.15am.
Centre Stage 7-9 year olds 10.30am-11.30am.
Curtain Call 10-12 year olds 11.45am-1pm.

Wildlife and Nature Outdoor Photo Exhibition: Peterborough. An open air exhibition of photos showing the wildlife of Ferry Meadows taken in the park by visitors. The Pictures are displayed on a series of 17 panels at Roman Point in Ferry Meadows.
