Are you looking for local days out with the kids and local activities for children this weekend? We have many great, fun local activities and places to go with your baby, toddler and the family not just this weekend but every day! Just click on one of the selected local activities below for more information or visit our Online Activities Calendar to see more local days out in your area.

Whitby Whale Watching Centre: Harrogate, Scarborough. The Whitby Whale Watching Centre celebrates the whaling industry and the modern day conservation of these amazing animals.

Beale Park: Bracknell, Windsor, Maidenhead, Ascot. Popular favourites include: Ring-tailed lemurs, wallabies, meerkats, raccoons, prairie dogs, yellow mongoose, river hogs, monkeys, goats and numerous small mammals in Pet’s Corner. Plus the new Bertie’s Bugs and Beasts exhibit, with all things creepy and crawly!

Llama Trekking at Old King Street Farm: Herefordshire. Now introduced to the UK, these charming, inquisitive and gentle animals will delight in accompanying you on a walk through the beautiful south Herefordshire countryside. Llamas are not ridden. Instead they are pack animals and can carry thirty kilos, or all you need for a picnic lunch - chairs, table, and hamper. A typical half-day llama trek will start with calling the llamas into the penning area. An incentive (a bribe!) of a mouthful of their specialist feed, perhaps supplemented with some carrot might help!

The MAD Museum: Warwick and Leamington Spa. Located in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon, The MAD (Mechanical Art and Design) Museum’s mesmerising array of Kinetic Art and Automata has been handcrafted by some of the cleverest and craziest inventors in the world. There are buttons to press, handles to turn, lights, colours, weird sounds and laugh-out-loud moments for the younger generations to enjoy. There is also ingeniously exquisite pieces of imaginative art for adults of all ages.
