Enjoy the contrast of white and plain chocolate chips in this delicious twist on everyone's favourite cookie which makes them double delicious!.
Ingredients:
- 150g plain chocolate chips
- 150g white chocolate chips
- 140g butter
- 150g sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200g plain flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
How to make Chocolate Chip Cookies:
- Preheat over to 180ºC/250ºF/Gas mark 4
- Lightly grease baking sheets or line with baking parchment.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until pale and fluffy
- Beat the egg and vanilla in until well combined
- Sift the flour and baking powder and fold into the mixture
- Add the chocolate chips and stir well
- Drop 5-6 rounded tablespoons of the dough on each baking tray spacing well apart, as the cookies double in size.
- Bake until golden, 12-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
