Children love pop-up books and peek-a-boo surprises so why not make this simple Easter craft and create set of hatching chicks with fold-open eggs.
Best for kids ages: 3 and up.
What you will require to make the peek-boo chicks.
- Coloured paper in egg shapes,
- Yellow paper chick shapes
- Glue
- Stickers
- Crayons
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
- Paper fasteners
How to make the peek-a-boo chicks:
- Cut eggs in half in a zigzag pattern
- let your little ones colour and decorate the cut out chicks with stickers.
- Pin the halves together on one side with a paper fastener so you can open and close the egg.
- Glue chicks on the back bottom half of the egg so that the heads are popping up.
- Add some googly eyes and it's done!
- Repeat to make a batch of hatching Easter chicks.
