Becoming a Avon Representative

For some mum's going back to work can be a great struggle. Especially when it comes to getting the right balance between work and family life. Lots of people struggle though work whilst feeling that they should be at home with the children being a full time mum. So lots of us just end up feeling like a rubber band that’s going to snap at any point.

However there is another way for us to live! Lots of women choose to work from home now, and it is a great option, lots of companies are becoming a lot more flexible for mums giving them the opportunity to work from home while maybe going into the office a couple of times during the week. It is a fantastic way to work meaning you can have your own hours, have the kids on hand and also earn a decent income!

Here Carey from Enfield tells us why she became an independent Avon Representative and hasn’t looked back since.

“My name is Carey and I’m mother to three children: a teenager, a toddler and one in the middle! Nine years ago I became an Independent AVON Representative.  I was a stay-at-home Mum and ordered Avon products from my local rep.  She moved and asked me if I’d like to take over.  My son was at pre-school and my daughter a baby so the extra money would be very handy for all the bits and pieces they needed. I set myself a time limit of three months: if I didn’t get on with AVON then I’d stop. Well, I’m still here! I started with then customers and now have well over 100.

Running my own AVON business means I’ve been able to fit my work in around my family. I can go to toddler groups and school concerts, I don’t have to worry about finding childcare when they’re ill or have an inset day and school holidays aren’t a problem.  At the same time it’s great to do something “for myself” and get out and meet other people. I’ve made lots of friends along the way.  Sometimes I take my children, sometimes I go out on my own. I’ve had another daughter since and I call her my AVON baby!

A few years ago I decided I’d like to expand my AVON business so I became an Independent AVON Sales Leader. This means I recruit and train my own team of representatives. I’m really enjoying this venture and feel a sense of satisfaction when I see my team member’s achievements.  Successful representatives make great Sales Leaders; they can pass their knowledge onto others. Training and support is essential for new reps, and anybody who joins my team will get this from me. I’m so passionate about the AVON opportunity that my husband has also joined and we’re working towards being financially independent.”
