Does anyone have any exciting finger food ideas for a 10 month old. I made her tiny homemade burgers today which she loved, but am struggling to ge her to eat anything she can't feed herself. She loves fruit and would eat it all day, is quite good with vegetables, likes cheese, doesn't really like egg - even when done as eggy bread - even though bread is one of her favourite things. she also likes prawns. Any ideas greatly received as I keep feeding her the same things and most of the books out there seem to focus on purees.

My daughter loved carrot sticks that are boilled so they were soft. Toast and just anything that has little to no salt and cannot choke on like banana chunks and melon is good as well

    Hope this helps

From looking at the posts marmite is popular, Have you tried soft fruit cut into small pieces? It may be messy but also fun for your child and encourages then to eat fruit. Give it a go!!

Below are some ideas for first finger foods and offering a selection of these to your baby will get him used to chewing many different textures.

Banana, melon, apricot, peach, halved peeled grapes, kiwi fruit, sliced apple etc.
Soft dried fruits like apricots, apple or prune.
Steamed carrot, potato or parsnip sticks or florets of cauliflower or broccoli.
    Sticks of cucumber.
    Cooked pasta shapes.
Fingers of toast, rice cakes, miniature sandwiches, dry breakfast cereals.
    Hard-boiled egg cut into quarters.
    Sticks of mild cheese.
    Goujons of fish/fish fingers.
Slices or chunks of chicken or turkey.
Miniature meatballs made of minced chicken, turkey, lamb or beef.
