At month five babies will now be developing at a fast rate physically. I don’t mean in a muscle bound Sylvester Stallone (weird but would be pretty funny) way but you will really start to notice extending of arms and legs, back arching and also when lying on their back the lifting of the head and shoulders. Providing you put enough cushions around they may also be able to sit unaided for a few moments. Remember the beer can story? Always use soft pillows or cushions in case of a fall!

Well, this mummy-to-be is getting bigger by the day now. I’ve noticed, more than anything that the baby seems to be a little contortionist and likes to move regularly. My bump changes shape most days because he won’t sit still. I am getting to the point where my toes are becoming foreign objects to me. Sometimes I see them and I’m like “Ohhhh yeahhhh. I have toes. Note to self – must paint them before I become whale-like.”

Yes, that’s right people….. Small Steps have a baby boy joining the family! I’m 21 weeks pregnant now and getting larger by the day. I thought it would be great to share my experiences with you all and would love to hear your experiences on the way too.
