Babies are designed or pre disposed to breastfeed, even from before birth. We can observe them on scan images sucking their thumbs and swallowing and sucking whilst in the womb.  As soon as a baby is born, one of its survival reflexes is crawling. A newborn baby if placed upon its mother’s tummy will crawl up to the breast, following the scent and when approaching the breast will look for the darker area of the areola. Instinctively babies know how to attach and to feed, they are designed to breastfeed and ready to breastfeed. The question is, are you?
