Sweet potato mash is a perfect baby weaning recipe and a very tasty vegetable. Sweet potato has a gorgeous colour which make this a attractive first food for your baby and is a good source of beta-carotene. You can turn this into a "grown up version too by adding in toasted cumin seeds and chopped fresh herbs and spring onions as you squash it all together. It’s an easy way to add a little twist to an otherwise normal dinnertime!

How to make Sweet potato mash
- Boil or steam the sweet potato until it is soft.
- Drain and mash well with a potato ricer or masher
- Add your baby's usual milk to make form a soft smooth appetising consistency.
